Camp Magruder: Winter, Spring & Summer Breaks for Elementary Schoolers
Enrichment out-of-school programs for children in Kindergarten through 5th Grade
The Department of Community Services provides Camp Magruder as an out-of-school program for children. Camp Magruder meets during the Prince George's County Public School breaks for winter, spring and summer. All our camp programs combine sports, arts, other organized activities, and general free-play.
Mini Camp Magruder
Friday, October 18 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Is school out on October 18? Mini-Camp Magruder isn’t! Open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., students in grades K -5 are invited to join us for a Farm-tastic day at 3911 Hamilton Street! We'll make meals using fresh, local produce, host a "pretend" farmers market, and have plenty of games. Mini Camp Magruder is FULL
Upcoming dates for the 2019-2020 academic year are as follows:
Winter Break: Thursday, December 26, Friday December 27, Monday December 30 and Tuesday December 31. , 2019.
Spring Break: Monday, April 6 through Friday, April 10, 2020.
Summer Break: Dates and sessions will be announced soon.
Camp Magruder Winter 2019

Registration for Camp Magruder Winter 2019 will open October 30. IF ENROLLMENT IS LOW THE PROGRAM WILL BE CANCELLED
Camp Magruder Spring 2020
Monday, April 6 through Friday, April 10, 2020
Registration for Camp Magruder Spring 2020 will open for Residents on January 22 and January 29 for non residents
Hours of camp are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Each camp session meets Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for two weeks at a time. Camp program combines arts, sports and general free-play. Campers will visit the Hamilton Splash Park once a week, attend a field trip once per session and participate in a number of other planned activities.
Camp Magruder Summer 2019
There are 5 session of camp; dates listed below:
- Session I: June 17 through June 28, 2019 (Session I is FULL. A wait list is available.)Registration:
- Session II: July 1 through July 12, 2019 (Session II is FULL A wait list is available)
- Session III: July 15 through July 26, 2019 (Session III is FULL A wait list is available)
- Session IV: July 29 through August 9, 2019 Session IV is FULL A wait list is available)
- Session V: August 12 through August 23, 2019 (Session V is FULL. A wait list is available.)
Registration opens for City of Hyattsville residents on February 6, 2019.
Non residents may register on February 13, 2019.

Camper who receive free or reduced lunch, and live within the City of Hyattsville may receive financial assistance upon proof of eligibility. Eligible campers fee for Summer camp is $200 per session.
DepositThere is a $50 nonrefundable deposit due per session 48 hours upon receipt of invoice. An invoice will be emailed within 48 hours after submitting registration. The deposit(s) will be applied to the overall cost of each session. If a deposit is not made your camper may be in jeopardy of losing their placement.
Camp and Payment Schedule:
Final payment is due 3 weeks prior to the first day of each session.
